IDR is seeking a Data Conversion Lead to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this senior-level role, youll lead the end-to-end data conversion effort for a large-scale Child Welfare Information System modernization initiative. You will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure legacy child welfare data is migrated, validated, reconciled, and ready for production use.
Position Overview for the Data Conversion Lead:
- Lead enterprise-scale data conversion and migration activities from strategy through production execution.
- Drive source-to-target mapping, data transformation logic, and conversion requirements in partnership with business and technical teams.
- Coordinate extraction, loading, validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Lead multiple mock conversions, dress rehearsals, test cycles, and cutover activities to support successful go-live readiness.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and data quality issues early, and lead resolution of complex discrepancies and conversion defects.
Requirements for the Data Conversion Lead:
- 8+ years of professional experience leading enterprise-scale data conversion or data migration initiatives
- Required child welfare domain experience, including support of a CWIS/CCWIS or similar child welfare system
- Demonstrated ownership of data conversion activities across the full project lifecycle (planning through production conversion)
- Strong expertise in extraction, transformation, mapping, loading, validation, and reconciliation processes
- Proven ability to lead multiple conversion cycles and resolve complex data-quality issues with cross-functional stakeholders
