Data Center Technician

Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment (DELL, IBM and Client Servers). Experience in software support would be a plus; however, candidate should have some knowledge of windows, Linux and Solaris.

Here at Nesco Resource we are seeking an Onsite Data Center Technician for our client in Sandston, VA. Our client supports global customers to execute IT service delivery. Together we are looking to help grow the career of a knowledgeable, Hands-on, technician.

• Shift:Sun-Wed, 6pm-4am 
• Direct Hire

Job Description:

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the hardware break / fix support. Experience in software support would be a plus; however, candidate should have some knowledge of windows, Linux and Solaris.
• Must have Data Center experience.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment (DELL, IBM and Client Servers).
• Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders, and replaces parts as needed.
• Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Experience and Skills Desired:

• Possess positive attitude and strong analytical skills
• Must be able to hands-on break/Fix (Discovery, diagnose, execute hands-on, and confirm server is back up)
• Must be able to swap out (Motherboards, lasers, fans, arrays, etc.)
