    Overview:

TeleWorld Solutions (TWS) is seeking Lead Technicians to support data center construction and infrastructure deployments throughout the United States. The Lead Technician will direct an assigned field crew, coordinate daily work, verify installation quality, and report progress to the Project Manager.

This hands-on role combines fiber and structured cabling skills with crew leadership. The position supports site-based execution, travels extensively, and may support long-duration, multi-state deployments.

    Responsibilities:
    • Translate approved drawings, cable schedules, BOMs, and work packages into daily crew assignments and a short-term lookahead.
    • Lead task hazard reviews and crew briefings; verify qualifications, PPE, access, and work-area readiness before starting.
    • Demonstrate approved installation methods, coach technicians, and assign work within each employee's documented qualifications.
    • Coordinate materials, tools, and test equipment; verify correct parts, equipment condition, and calibration records.
    • Inspect first articles and ongoing production, verify labeling and cable routing, and obtain required Quality releases before repetitive work.
    • Review copper and fiber test readiness, results, and failure/retest records against approved plans; escalate unresolved defects.
    • Record labor, materials, and installed, tested, and accepted quantities accurately; report constraints and staffing needs to the PM.
    • Escalate scope changes and field questions; observe live-site hold points, support punch-list closure and turnover, and complete shift handovers.
    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Relevant fiber, low-voltage, or structured cabling skills demonstrated through prior work or verified training and practical assessment.
    • Verified Level 1 and Level 2 technical competence, including termination, splicing, cleaning, OLTS testing, required OTDR testing, and test-result review.
    • Demonstrated ability to direct and coach a crew through prior work or successful TWS Lead training and observed leadership assessment before independent lead assignment.
    • Ability to read drawings and cable schedules, coordinate daily work, maintain accurate field records, and communicate issues clearly.
    • Current CPR/First Aid, and electrical safety and affected-person LOTO awareness before field lead assignment.
    • Complete assigned TWS training, knowledge checks, capstone, and applicable FOA, OEM, and Network+ credential requirements or approved equivalents; obtain separate site and task authorization.
    • Ability to travel extensively and complete client-required background screening, drug testing, and site onboarding.

    Preferred

    • Hyperscale, colocation, or other mission-critical data center installation experience.
    • Experience with high-count fiber, MPO/MMC systems, ribbon fusion splicing, and native test-file review.
    • Experience with crew reporting, material tracking, technician development, and project turnover documentation.
    • Experience in prepping drawings, port to panel maps and rack elevations.
    • Any Corning, Panduit or other OEM certifications.
    • OSHA30 Certifications
    • Experience reading, managing and delivering native test-result package
