Data Center Project Manager

The Research Triangle has become one of the busiest corners of the Southeast for data center growth, with new campuses and expansions popping up around Durham and the RTP area. A respected general contractor is adding a Data Center Project Manager to help deliver that work. If you like owning your projects, working with people who have your back and seeing a building come to life from first meeting to final commissioning, this one's worth a look.

What You'll Do

• Lead data center and mission-critical projects through preconstruction, procurement, construction and closeout
• Own the budget, schedule, subcontractor buyout, change management and monthly billing
• Keep owners, architects, engineers and trade partners connected with clear, regular communication
• Track long-lead gear like switchgear, generators, UPS and cooling equipment so deliveries line up with the schedule
• Work hand in hand with the field team on safety, quality and the commissioning plan
• Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers as the team grows

What You Bring

• Project management experience with a general contractor, including data center or mission-critical construction (required)
• A good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, MEP coordination and commissioning
• Comfort managing fast-track schedules and large budgets
• A friendly, organized, solutions-first approach with owners and trade partners
• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
