Data Center / Headend Technicians - Level 3 or 4 - Multiple openings!
 
TekCom Resources, Inc is currently recruiting for several Data Center / Headend Technicians for one of our national customers with needs in the following markets NC, SC, TN, and GA. Travel required throughout the various markets will be required. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and grow with an established company.

Potential for contract to hire
Level 2- $31-$34/hr. DoE
Level 3 - $34-$37/hr. DoE
Level 4 - $37-$ 40/hr. DoE
Per Diem will be paid while traveling and mileage where applicable

Job Summary:
Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.

Role:
  • You will be responsible for headend installation of routers, CMTS (cable modem termination system) and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies. 
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  • Perform RF wiring with RG59 HEC, Mini RF, Cat 5/6, Fiber Jumpers and associated connectors, between active and passive devices.
  • Test and label all cables according to the Customer’s specifications
  • Install racks, set rails, and cable trays.
  • Travel will be required between localized area sites.
  • 3+ years of experience in data centers, headend, or central office environments
  • Must have strong communication and judgement skills
