Job Summary

The Marsal Family School of Education is looking for a Data, Assessment, Accountability, and Program Continuous Improvement Specialist (DAAPCIS) for our Educator Preparation Programs (EPP). You will develop systems of data collection and use regarding student performance within our Educator Preparation Programs (EPP). The DAAPCIS helps with sense-making of these data for curricular and instructional decision-making. You will also be the coordinator of our continuous improvement process. You meet all requirements required for accreditation by our accrediting organization (CAEP) and for program authorization from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).

The DAAPCIS will coordinate all aspects of national accreditation reporting and visits, including writing MDE Program Reviews, major and minor Program Reviews, Institutional Review and coordinating state and national pre-visits and visits.

You will report to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education and Educator Preparation.

Salary range for this position is: $35,000-$38,000 (FTR 70,000-$76,000)

Responsibilities*

Build and Sustain Data Systems

• Design and sustain a system of data gathering, organization, and accessibility
• Help implement data technologies
• Provide professional development to program faculty, staff, and students on the use of any adopted systems, processes, and software and technologies used for assessment or data collection

Data Analysis, Sensemaking, and Reporting

• Facilitate data-review processes and provide faculty and staff with regular reports on student, field-instruction, teaching, and post-graduation performance.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate assessment results using reports, dashboards, infographics, and tools such as Tableau.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to meet reporting requirements and develop, implement, and monitor data-informed improvement plans.

Accreditation and Compliance

• Lead the preparation, editing, and submission of accreditation, certification, program-approval, and compliance materials, including state and federal reports, Title II reports, CAEP annual reports, and the EPP Self-Study Report and addendum.
• Establish accreditation timelines; identify, collect, organize, and validate required evidence; monitor reauthorization cycles; and coordinate common assessments, action planning, and progress monitoring across Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) programs.
• Serve as the primary liaison to state and national agencies, CAEP consultants, and review teams; communicate requirements to partners and coordinate accreditation meetings and site visits.

Required Qualifications*

• Master's degree or higher in education or education-related field
• Demonstrated analytical skill with quantitative and qualitative data
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills, especially the ability to write technical reports
• Experience working with various software data management and analysis software
• Familiarity with university systems and processes
• 3+ years of experience in program administration, accreditation, compliance, assessment, certification, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience collecting, tracking, validating, and reporting complex data and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies, standards, and reporting requirements.

Desired Qualifications*

• Prior experience with NCATE. TEAC, CAEP, and K-12 and/or higher education preferred.
