Title: Data Architect (Healthcare)

Location: Remote

Experience: 10+ Years

The pay range for this role is $130,000 - $200,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.

  • HL7 FHIR R4, FHIR Consent Resources, HL7 FAST Consent Framework
  • Enterprise Data Architecture & Data Modeling
  • Consent Management, Access Control, Privacy & Security Architecture
  • Data Governance, Metadata, Lineage & Auditability
  • GCP (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, GCS, Apigee X)
  • Microsoft Fabric, PostgreSQL, REST APIs
  • Event-Driven Architectures
  • Identity & Access Management (Entra ID/CIAM)
  • Epic EHR integration experience preferred

Job Description

  • Design and govern enterprise data architecture for healthcare consent, privacy, and access management platforms.
  • Develop canonical data models for Consent Registry, Policy Repository, Identity Mapping, Security Labels, and Access Policies.
  • Lead architecture for patient consent, research authorization, restricted data access, and policy enforcement services.
  • Define standards for data governance, metadata management, lineage, auditability, and observability.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards including HL7 FHIR R4, HIPAA, and healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Design scalable integrations across APIs, event streams, GCP platforms, Microsoft Fabric, and enterprise healthcare systems.
  • Collaborate with Privacy, Security, Identity, Data Platform, and Epic teams to deliver enterprise-wide access control solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience with large healthcare providers/health systems.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, consent management, and healthcare interoperability.
  • Experience implementing fine-grained authorization and policy decision frameworks.
