Description

Job Title: Data Engineer 5

Location: Beaverton, OR

Salary Range: $70-75

Introduction

This is an on-site role at PHK with a typical work schedule following a 4/1 hybrid model. We are urgently seeking a candidate who can start as soon as possible to join our dynamic team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • 10 years of experience in large-scale software development, with at least 5 years in big data
  • Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Python, Snowflake, and SQL
  • Experience with AI tools and initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
  • Experience with or knowledge of the finance domain
  • Experience with data analytics and BI tools
  • AWS, Databricks certifications are nice to have but not required

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and patterns for processing and storing large data volumes
  • Translate product backlog items into logical units of work in engineering
  • Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem
  • Build utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns
  • Work with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented, and engineering best practices are defined and followed
  • Build and incorporate automated unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts
  • Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Work across teams to resolve operational and performance issues
