JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary/Objective 

The analyst will provide accurate and timely analyses and recommendations to Finance, Capital Markets, Accounting, Executive Management, and other teams. The position will be required to think critically and analytically to develop and communicate data insights, which will be used in decision-making to optimize enterprise business performance.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across drivers of Profit and Loss, Fair Value (FV), CECL, tax, liquidity, capital planning, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze business problems within the company with a focus on improving the operations of the Finance Department and underlying business performance.
  • Build, maintain, and automate dashboards, reports, databases, and analytical solutions using SQL or Python and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
  • Develop and support FV, CECL, vintage, and other financial or statistical models, including data preparation, validation, monitoring, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, Servicing, and other teams to translate business needs into scalable data and analytics solutions.
  • Use AI-enabled technologies and automation to improve productivity and analytical quality.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to leadership and contribute to actionable insights, reporting modernization, data governance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

•     Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data to financial and business outcomes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a financial institution, finance company, or related finance, business analytics/intelligence, or risk function.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or another programming language.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or another data visualization platform.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.  The daily schedule may vary from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm.  Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
