    About the Role

    Culmen International is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Office of Inspector General (OIG). The selected candidate will provide data analytics support for audits, inspections, evaluations, investigations, fraud detection initiatives, and oversight activities. This role requires expertise in data analysis, visualization, investigative research, and reporting to support both audit and law enforcement-focused missions.

    Work Location

    Work is primarily performed onsite at DFC Headquarters, 1100 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20527.

    What You'll Do in Your New Role

    Audit Analytics Support

    • Perform data acquisition, cleansing, validation, and integration from multiple data sources.
    • Conduct risk assessments, anomaly detection, trend analysis, statistical testing, and internal control evaluations.
    • Support audit planning, sampling, exception testing, and reporting activities.
    • Develop repeatable analytics, scripts, dashboards, and reporting solutions.

    Investigative Analytics Support

    • Support criminal, civil, and administrative investigations through advanced data analysis.
    • Analyze financial transactions, contracts, procurement activities, invoices, and payment data.
    • Conduct fraud detection, transaction tracing, pattern analysis, and lead development activities.
    • Perform entity resolution, link analysis, timeline creation, and network analysis.
    • Create analytical products and visualizations supporting investigative case development and decision-making.

    Visualization & Reporting

    • Develop dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI and Tableau.
    • Prepare executive briefings, charts, trend analyses, heat maps, and relationship diagrams.
    • Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Data Governance & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and traceability of analytical products.
    • Document methodologies, assumptions, transformations, and quality control procedures.
    • Support data governance, data quality improvement, and process automation efforts.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor''s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
    • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, audit analytics, investigative analytics, fraud detection, forensic financial analysis, or related disciplines.
    • Experience collecting, cleaning, validating, integrating, analyzing, and presenting data from multiple sources.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

    Required Technical Skills

    • Microsoft 365 (Excel, Access, Purview)
    • Power BI
    • Python
    • Tableau
    • Splunk

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience supporting a Federal Office of Inspector General (OIG).
    • Experience supporting federal law enforcement, investigations, audits, evaluations, or fraud-risk activities.
    • Experience conducting forensic financial analysis, transaction tracing, anomaly detection, hotline analytics, entity resolution, and link analysis.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Okta, and/or Zscaler.
    • Professional certifications such as CFE, CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFF.
