About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring for a Data Analyst position with one of our clients in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals interested in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, data visualization, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Identify trends, patterns, relationships, and anomalies within business data.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases.
  • Use Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to analyze and present data.
  • Translate business questions and requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports for business and operational teams.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into business performance.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document data sources, analytical processes, reporting logic, and methodologies.
  • Support process improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Understanding of data analysis and visualization concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into clear business insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or another programming language for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
  • Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques.
  • Exposure to ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
