Senior Data Analyst
Target Pay Rate:$80.00 - $90.00 W2 (no 1099 or C2C)
Schedule: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 1 work-from-home day per week
Contract Duration: 3–6 months
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Databricks. This role will support analytics, reporting, data transformation, and data quality initiatives across finance and operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience working with complex datasets and developing scalable reporting and analytics solutions. This individual will also serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and best practices to internal analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics, self-service reporting, and data quality controls.
- Build and manage Databricks notebooks, Delta tables, and data pipelines to transform large datasets into curated analytical datasets.
- Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models for executive and operational stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable data models, KPIs, and technical documentation across finance and operations use cases.
- Perform advanced data profiling, validation, and reconciliation across source systems to ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Ensure analytics solutions adhere to established data governance standards and best practices.
- Provide SME-level guidance, code reviews, and best-practice coaching to internal analytics teams.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Power BI
- Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries, views, and stored procedures
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience developing and maintaining Databricks notebooks, Delta tables, and data pipelines
- Experience building Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical and analytical solutions
- Experience supporting finance and/or operations analytics
- Ability to provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best-practice guidance to other analytics professionals
