Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Carmel, IN

Industry: Utilities

Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Data Analyst to support the customer insights function within a growing utilities organization. This role focuses on leveraging Microsoft Dynamics CRM and related data platforms to reshape customer insights, analyze customer journeys and personas, and generate actionable predictions that support marketing and growth efforts as the organization manages a significant increase in new customers.

The ideal candidate is an analyst or data scientist with corporate experience who can take cleansed data sets and turn them into clear reports and dashboards, apply best practices within the CRM system, support end users, and help translate user and market research into meaningful customer insights. This individual will collaborate with customer experience, marketing, and operational stakeholders to improve data quality, develop reporting solutions, and provide the analytical foundation for strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience performing data collection, analysis, validation, and reporting in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards, including building and maintaining reports from cleansed data sets.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; ability to design, test, and document queries and related processes.
  • Proficiency with Python for data analysis and scripting; comfort running scripts and understanding data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure environments and connecting data sources.
  • Ability to translate user and market research into customer journeys, personas, and actionable insights.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred) and applying data analysis best practices within CRM environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to respond to data inquiries from multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to create and publish both regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports while documenting reporting requirements and processes.
  • Corporate experience preferred; candidates coming primarily from academia will be less competitive.
  • Not seeking a pure data engineer — this is an analyst / insights-focused role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting customer experience, marketing, or growth teams with predictive or forward-looking analysis.
  • Background in data center, technology, or high-growth customer environments.
  • Experience developing user support materials or training others on reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with data quality, validation, and process documentation best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related) or equivalent practical experience.

About Company

We recognize the VMS program management team is our customer and needs to be serviced with integrity, so we built and continue to improve upon our delivery methods as we strive to provide the highest quality service possible. inSync Staffing’s management team recognized ten years ago the inevitable changes to the staffing industry being brought about by technology and the growing trend of Fortune 1000 corporations to outsource management of their contingent workforces to meet compliance and cost control goals. Rather than swim upstream against the changes, inSync Staffing has embraced MSP and VMS programs as our customers, not competitors. We asked program managers how they want to be serviced. The result of their input is that we have structured inSync Staffing as a recruiting and customer service organization, unlike traditional staffing companies who sell directly to the end client. Our delivery model allows us concentrates our resources on how to best supply candidates in a very competitive MSP/VMS program environment.
