    Summary

    Provides support for activities related to data management, learning analytics, and continuous improvement for the College of Education and Human Development. The Data Analyst works directly with the Administrator for Assessment, Accreditation, and Analytics to collect, analyze and interpret data for continuous improvement, develop data dashboards, and complete state and federal reports.

    Essential Functions

    Data Management, Analytics, and Reporting

    • Maintain databases and prepare data for analysis.
    • Collect, prepare, analyze, and report assessment and learning outcomes data to accreditors, external agencies, and/or college administration.
    • Develop, test, and maintain Power BI dashboards and similar reports using Power Automate and Power Apps.
    • Creates visuals to communicate effectively on enrollment trends and student performance indicators.
    • Apply learning outcomes and assessment constructs to interpret findings from statistical tests.
    • Work with administrators and staff in the College to prepare accurate data for reports.
    • Provide training to college faculty and staff on data interpretation, dashboard usage, and other tools.
    • Represents and updates the College on committees and meetings related to assessment data.
    • Document workflows and develop user guides.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The following Degree is required:

    • Bachelors Degree

    The following Experience is required:

    • 2 years of data management

    Additional Information

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Knowledge of and experience in statistics and data analysis is required.
    • Intermediate or Advanced experience with Excel. Intermediate level R, Python, and SQL. Familiarity with SPSS, STATA, Dedoose, or similar software.
    • Previous experience in data visualization with business intelligence software such as Power BI.
    • Ability to multi-task, take directions, and focus on very detailed work is essential.
    • Demonstrate initiative and creative approaches to problem solving.
    • Demonstrate proactive communication skills, a collaborative mindset, ability to adapt to goals and timelines, and a willingness to learn.
    • Administrative and organizational skills.
    • Experience with data warehousing or ETL processes preferred.
    • Familiarity with learning management systems, such as Canvas, preferred.
    • Experience with student information systems, such as PeopleSoft, preferred.
    • Familiarity with survey software, such as Qualtrics, preferred.
    • The candidate should be able to write about quantitative and qualitative research methods, and report findings for a wide variety of people with varied backgrounds and experiences.
