DAS Technician

Rate Range: $25-$28/Hr



Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced DAS Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) used to improve wireless coverage in commercial buildings, hospitals, venues, and other facilities.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DAS, low-voltage cabling, RF systems, and related equipment.

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot DAS and wireless communication systems.
• Install and route coaxial, fiber optic, and low-voltage cabling.
• Install antennas, remote units, head-end equipment, splitters, couplers, and related components.
• Perform RF testing, signal testing, and system optimization.
• Read and interpret blueprints, RF drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
• Identify and troubleshoot signal loss, cable faults, equipment issues, and system performance problems.
• Perform cable testing using appropriate test equipment.
• Assist with system commissioning and final acceptance testing.
• Maintain accurate installation, testing, and service documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, customers, and other technicians.
• Follow OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements.
• Work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and other job-site environments when required.

• 2+ years of experience working with DAS, wireless, RF, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems.
• Hands-on experience with DAS installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with coaxial and fiber-optic cabling.
• Knowledge of RF fundamentals, signal levels, and wireless communications.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal meters, or cable analyzers is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel to customer and construction sites as required.
• OSHA, BICSI, or relevant telecommunications certifications are a plus.
