    Dairy Plant Liquid Handling Coordinator

    Your impact

    Do you thrive on precision and communication? In this role, you’ll coordinate the lifeblood of the plant—milk and whey—so production hits quality, safety, and timing targets. Your testing, documentation, and clear updates keep every department, and our vendor partners, moving together.

    Mission-critical responsibilities

    • Control, route, and report all milk and whey flows to align with production needs; interface with internal teams and external vendors.
    • Draw samples and perform established tests; complete and file documentation with accuracy.
    • Keep equipment in the raw milk area spotless and sanitary; fulfill the Plant Master Sanitation Schedule.
    • Maintain required licenses/certifications; contribute to successful audits and inspections.
    • Communicate proactively across departments; follow the Plant traffic pattern plan to ensure safe, efficient movement.
    • Observe GMPs and QA-directed sanitation/quality procedures; follow OSHA safety regulations; comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies.
    • Take on other assignments from your Supervisor as needed.

    Capabilities and knowledge

    • Reads gauges/thermometers with confidence; interprets data to act quickly.
    • Uses basic mathematics for measures and calculations.
    • Operates computer-controlled equipment; assesses color-change test strips visually.
    • Collaborates with strong written and verbal communication.
    • Applies sound problem-solving and decision-making under time pressure.

    Required credentials

    • Bulk Milk Weigher and Sampler License — maintained and current.
    • Milk, Food, and Water Analyst Certification — maintained and current.

    Physical requirements

    • Ability to climb steps frequently.
    • Capable of performing intake-related physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.

    WORK ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Production roles are performed in a food manufacturing environment and require strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including use of required PPE. Employees may work in areas with variable temperatures, machinery noise, and exposure to food ingredients and sanitation chemicals. The role requires standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and regularly lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance).
