Milledgeville, GASchedule : 8:30am - 5:00pmESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes work orders assigned to them in a timely manner based on priorityPerforming routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairPainting I staining both interior and exterior applicationsPreventative maintenance as assignedMaintain and keep a clean and organized maintenance shop and other work areasAssist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team membersRepairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixturesFixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuriesAbility to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workersKnowledge of general carpentry and repairAbility to use hand tools and power toolsExcellent organizational and time management skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One plus years' experience in facility maintenance or equivalentDry walling including paintingCarpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the buildingBasic knowledge of plumbingBasic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixturesInterpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent requiredRelated experience preferredOn-the-job training offeredHVAC Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods standing and walking.Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
