Program Overview:
The Adult Crisis Unit clinician conducts intake assessments for new crisis clients, including behavioral health and safety assessments, suicide/self-harm risk evaluations, effective written and verbal communication, and group facilitation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments for incoming crisis clients.
- Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA).
- Conduct comprehensive safety assessments.
- Assess clients for suicide and self-harm risk.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Facilitate therapeutic and educational groups
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field.
- Must have Associate License or Fully Licensed in either - LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
- Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, or a crisis stabilization setting.
- Experience working with children.
- Experience with trauma-informed care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise with the chronically mentally ill population.
- All applicants must pass an intensive background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in mental health and substance abuse services and community resources.
