A leading healthcare organization in the Albany, New York area is looking for a Cytotechnician I & II to join its Cytopathology team!

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent position

• Day shift

• Opportunity to work in a specialized Cytopathology laboratory

• Collaborative environment with opportunities to train and mentor staff

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process cytology specimens for diagnostic testing

• Perform laboratory testing and accurately document results

• Maintain quality control, equipment, and laboratory records

• Verify patient information and specimen accuracy

• Assist with training new staff, students, and pathology residents

Qualifications:

• Education and laboratory training appropriate for a Cytotechnician I or II position

• Ability to work under the supervision of a NYSED-licensed laboratory supervisor

• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency with laboratory computer systems

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
