Location: Concord, CA
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cybersecurity activity to determine if activity is malignant or benign and engage others as required.
Provide analysis on malware and escalate as appropriate to incident response teams.
Conduct baseline threat hunting based on intelligence from utility peers and other intelligence sources.
Provide hunting/analysis on phishing cases and reports of potential compromise/breach.
Perform proficient forensic analysis using security tools and monitoring systems to identify the source of anomalous security events.
Assist in performing basic research internally and externally.
Perform complex system administration tasks (e.g., customization, cross-tool integration) for security tools.
Develop a strategy to implement work in the department.
Requirements:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
