We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support cybersecurity GRC, risk management, security controls, compliance, and audit activities. The ideal candidate will have strong cybersecurity experience and excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location: Reston VA 20194 - Hybrid
Duration: 6-Month Contract, possible extension
 
Position Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support cybersecurity GRC, risk management, security controls, compliance, and audit activities. The ideal candidate will have strong cybersecurity experience and excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and support GRC initiatives.
• Evaluate environments against established security controls and identify gaps or risks.
• Support compliance, control testing, and IT audit activities.
• Document and communicate security findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, technology, and business teams to address security requirements.
• Manage multiple tasks and deliverables with minimal supervision.

 
Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, preferably as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of GRC, risk assessments, security controls, compliance, and IT audit.
• Ability to evaluate environments against defined security controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Cybersecurity certification required, such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or another relevant security/risk certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

 
Preferred

• Healthcare or Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow is helpful but not mandatory.
