Cybersecurity Analyst to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $55/hr - $70/hr
Position Overview: The Cybersecurity Analyst will join an Information Security team on a contract basis. This individual will help monitor and investigate security threats, respond to incidents, identify vulnerabilities, and support the overall security of the organization's systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Analyst:- Monitor and investigate security alerts and suspicious activity.
- Analyze potential threats and support incident response and remediation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and assist with vulnerability management.
- Utilize SIEM tools to monitor, investigate, and escalate security events.
- Support endpoint, network, and cloud security initiatives.
- Assist with security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Engineering teams to address security risks.
- Track security incidents and communicate findings to technical stakeholders.
Required Experience/Skills for the Cybersecurity Analyst:- 3+ years of Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Security Operations experience.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar.
- Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation.
- Understanding of network and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure security environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Cybersecurity Analyst:- Experience with CrowdStrike, Defender, Palo Alto, or similar security tools.
- Cloud security experience within AWS or Azure.
- Experience with vulnerability tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or similar.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
