Position: Unix System Programmer
Experience: 6+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
" Design, develop, maintain, and support Unix/Linux-based applications and system-level programs.
" Develop and enhance shell scripts (Korn Shell, Bash, Perl, Python) for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
" Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, memory, process, and system-related issues in Unix environments.
" Work with file systems, process management, networking, and system administration tasks.
" Support production releases, incident management, and root cause analysis for critical applications.
" Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, and middleware teams to ensure system stability and performance.
" Implement automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
" Strong experience in Unix/Linux System Programming.
" Proficiency in Shell Scripting (KSH/Bash) and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
" Good understanding of Unix internals, process/thread management, memory management, IPC, and networking concepts.
" Experience with TCP/IP, sockets programming, file systems, and performance tuning.
" Knowledge of Git, CI/CD tools, monitoring, and automation frameworks.
" Experience working in enterprise production support and troubleshooting environments.
Preferred Skills:
" Banking/Financial Services domain experience.
" Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
" Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.
