    Job- Cybersecurity Analyst / Engineer (CSA)
    Location- Baltimore, MD
    Duration- 5+ Year Contract

    Required: Active Secret Clearance

    Protects an organization's digital assets by monitoring security systems, detecting threats, and responding to incidents. Review security alerts, investigate suspicious activity, conduct vulnerability assessments, and help implement protective measures like firewalls and encryption. Create security reports, develop security policies, collaborate with IT/SOC teams, and train employees to reduce security risks. Focused on maintaining a strong security posture and preventing cyberattacks in an evolving threat landscape.

    Typical Duties:
    While exact duties will be defined in the SOW and contract scope, common responsibilities include:
    • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate security events from various systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS), identifying anomalies and threats in real time 1.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments, interpret scan results, and recommend remediation actions.
    • Support incident response by collecting and analyzing forensic data, assisting in containment, eradication, and recovery.
    • Develop and maintain security documentation: policies, procedures, incident reports, and trend analyses.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure security compliance with frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, FISMA) 1.
    • Provide training to end-users on security best practices and awareness programs.

    Qualifications
    • Experience: 2-8 years in IT or cybersecurity and incident response or threat-hunting teams. Strong analytical skills, familiarity with security standards (NIST, NICE), and understanding of networking, OS, and threat landscape.
