Description

Position: Cyber Policy Analyst
Location: Alexandria VA - Onsite
Duration: Long Term contract 

Key Skills: 
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity policy, information assurance, RMF, cyber governance, or related DoD cyber programs.
  • Strong experience developing, analyzing, or implementing cyber policy for DoD organizations, preferably at the Headquarters, Joint Staff, OSD, Combatant Command, or DoD CIO level.
  • Knowledge of NIST frameworks (especially NIST 800-171 and 800-172), DoD directives, federal compliance requirements, and cybersecurity governance.
  • Understanding of telecommunications and 5G technologies, including telecom infrastructure, spectrum policy, secure communications, supply chain risk management, and telecom resilience.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and writing executive-level policy documents, white papers, strategy memos, and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, CMMC, cross-domain solutions, secure data exchange, and emerging cyber threats.
  • Ability to translate technical cybersecurity concepts into policy guidance for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Able to obtain/ Maintain Active TS clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
 
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of federal cyber policy, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with NIST SP 800-171/800-172 and RMF.
  • Familiarity with 5G architecture, telecom protocols, and supply chain risk management.
  • Skilled in drafting executive-level policy documents and briefings.
  • Experience supporting high-level organizations, ideally within a CIO office.
  • Strong writing, analysis, and organizational skills.
  • Able to advise on cyber risks related to telecom infrastructure and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust, CMMC, and secure communications frameworks.
