Akkodis is seeking a Cyber Ops Lead I SOC Lead for a Contract with a client in Draper, UT. The ideal candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of a Security Operations Center, including alert triage, incident response coordination, and case management to ensure effective cyber defense.
Rate Range: $47/Hour to $49/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cyber Ops Lead I SOC Lead Responsibilities include:
Lead day-to-day SOC operations, including security monitoring, alert triage, and initial incident response activities.
Manage and prioritize the SOC case queue, ensuring timely investigation, escalation, and resolution of security incidents.
Serve as the primary liaison between Cyber Defense and Technology Operations teams to coordinate remediation efforts and resolve security-related issues.
Mentor SOC analysts, provide technical guidance, and support team development through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Drive continuous improvement of SOC processes, detection rules, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Track and report on operational metrics, incident trends, and service performance to support cybersecurity program effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments, including 1-2 years in a lead, senior analyst, or shift-lead role.
Strong hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, incident response processes, case/ticket management tools, and security operations best practices.
Proven ability to lead SOC operations, mentor analysts, manage escalations, and work effectively with Technology Operations, IT, and Engineering teams.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
