    Cyber Security Specialist
    Herndon, VA

    $150k + benefits

    MUST:
    Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/pass a CI polygraph
    2 - 4 years Cyber Security / Information Assurance experience
    Experience supporting Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions
    Experience working with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO processes
    Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls
    Experience working with security documentation such as SSPs, POA&Ms, and ATO packages
    Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as ACAS or Nessus
    Experience implementing or reviewing STIGs
    Experience reviewing security logs and identifying potential security issues
    Experience supporting cybersecurity risk assessments and continuous monitoring
    Understanding of incident response and vulnerability remediation processes
    Ability to work with system administrators and engineers to resolve security findings
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Security+ or other DoD 8570/8140 qualifying certification
    Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; additional relevant experience may substitute for degree

    DUTIES:
    Support ISSO activities for classified DoD systems
    Assist with RMF and ATO activities
    Maintain system security documentation and security controls
    Update SSPs, POA&Ms, and other authorization documentation
    Review STIG and vulnerability scan findings
    Run and analyze ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans
    Work with technical teams to remediate security vulnerabilities
    Review system logs and investigate potential security issues
    Support continuous monitoring and cybersecurity risk assessments
    Track security findings through remediation and closure
    Assist with incident response and security investigations
    Support security audits, assessments, and authorization activities
    Communicate security findings and requirements to technical teams and government stakeholders
    Support secure classified and high-side environments
