Who we're looking for
  • Client's Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Automated Design System Engineer
  • Client's Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department is hiring a detail-driven Systems Engineer who can own requirements, lead DRBFM, and drive action-item closure across stakeholders. You'll pair systems thinking with hands-on software and test integration to help deliver the next generation of automated driving systems for Client and Lexus vehicles.
  • Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of IVS, the person in this role will support the IVS department's objective.
What you'll be doing

  • Lead DRBFM. Plan, facilitate, and document DRBFM sessions; translate risks into design actions and verification plans; ensure timely closure.
  • Design with developers. Work with ADS software engineers to shape control/decision logic (C/C++), align interfaces, and incorporate safety concepts into design.
  • Integrate and verify. Coordinate SIL/HIL/vehicle-level testing; ensure system requirements integrate cleanly to software components and different ECUs specs.
  • Track to closure. Build and maintain a clear action tracker; drive owners, dates, and evidence to closure across internal teams and suppliers.
  • Liaise across partners. Serve as the day-to-day interface with external stakeholders/suppliers; keep communication crisp and decisions documented.
  • Improve the process. Identify gaps; propose lightweight, repeatable improvements that raise reliability, safety, and engineering velocity.
  • Contribute to code & reviews. Participate in code reviews, create PRs where appropriate, and support CI checks tied to requirements and tests.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Automotive background (ADAS/ADS, chassis, powertrain, or similar safety-critical domain). (3 years)
  • Systems experience managing requirements and interfaces for complex embedded/vehicle systems and respective tooling such as Jama, Jira/Azure DevOps for tracking. (3 years)
  • Hands-on DRBFM leadership and follow-up through verified closure. (3 years)
  • Software literacy: C/C++ fundamentals; ability to read code and collaborate effectively with developers. (3 years)
  • Networking: Working knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet and related tooling. (3 years)
  • Documentation: Clear, concise spec and requirements writing with strong attention to traceability and version control. (3 years)
  • Team skills: Organized, direct communicator; able to negotiate priorities and align diverse teams (internal and external). (3 years)
WHAT YOU MAY BRING
  • Exposure to ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and/or ASPICE practices.
  • Experience with requirements/tooling: Jama, or Polarion; Jira/Azure DevOps for tracking.
  • Test environments: MIL/SIL/HIL, CANoe/Vector toolchain
  • Scripting/analysis in Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Familiarity with SOME/IP, diagnostics (UDS), and over-the-air update concepts.
  • CI/CD and code review workflows (Git, GitLab/Jenkins).

About Company

WE THE TEKWISSEN PEOPLE

TekWissen offers you a broader portfolio of services, industry-leading solutions, and the meaningful innovations that give you greater flexibility and speed to respond to market dynamics, reduced costs and risk to improve enterprise performance, and increased productivity to enable growth.

To keep pace with global market demands, TekWissen keeps its finger on the pulse of change. Our organized approach to guiding a project from its inception to closure. Managing projects is becoming more and more important as we enter the digital era. To cope with the pace that this transition demands, a method is required to manage projects so they can yield quality work, while incorporating efficient use of time and resources.

Project involves identifying which quality standards are relevant to the project and determining how to satisfy them.

It is important to perform quality planning during the Planning Process and should be done alongside the other project planning processes because changes in the quality will likely require changes in the other planning processes, or the desired product quality may require a detailed risk analysis of an identified problem. It is important to remember that quality should be planned, designed, then built in, not added on after the fact.

Capabilities and accomplishments in one TekWissen business enhance the opportunity for success in the others. Put simply, TekWissen's unique combination of attributes promotes success.
