A senior-level Cardiovascular OR Surgical Technologist (CVOR Tech 3) opportunity is available in Kansas City, MO at a 585+ bed hospital that includes a Level I Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.

The role. In this senior scrub role, you will serve as a go-to expert and mentor in the cardiovascular OR, managing instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout complex and high-acuity surgical procedures. You will anticipate surgeon needs, maintain the sterile field, and function as lead tech across specialty areas including robotic, total joints, neuro/spine, burn, and vascular surgery. In the second scrub role, you will directly assist the surgeon and surgical assistant through sponging, suctioning, suture cutting, retractor holding, and endoscopic camera manipulation. This position provides surgical care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

What we're looking for.
  • 7 years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid operating room tech experience required
  • Must be competent to perform as lead in all of the following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn and Vascular Surgery
  • Two years prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
  • Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days with rotating weekends; 40-hour work week.

Compensation. $27.00 - $45.00/hr plus $3 sign-on bonus
