Ready to take your cardiovascular nursing career to the next level? We’re looking for an experienced Travel CVOR Surgical RN to join a high-performing cardiovascular surgical team for an exciting 13-week travel assignment.

Assignment Details

  • Position: Travel RN – CVOR Surgical

  • Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

  • Hours: 40 Hours/Week

  • Schedule: Full-Time

  • Employment Type: Travel Contract

Your Role

As a CVOR Surgical RN, you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular operating room team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and surgical patients

  • Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures

  • Assist with OR preparation, equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation

  • Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards

  • Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team

  • Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition

  • Support patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative safety

  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols

  • Promote a safe and efficient operating room environment

  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative care as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Active RN license in the applicable state

  • Current BLS, Acls certification

  • Recent CVOR/OR nursing experience

  • Cardiovascular and/or open-heart surgical experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique

  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced travel assignment

  • Commitment to the full 13-week contract
