• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
• Weekend Coverage: Required; minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
• Float: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of CVICU RN, ICU, or critical care nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Strong background in high-acuity cardiac, cardiovascular, and postoperative ICU patient care
• Ability to work rotating holidays, weekends, and occasional floating assignments
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care for adult CVICU patients with complex cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and post-surgical needs
• Monitor and manage advanced critical care therapies and equipment such as ventilators, Swan-Ganz lines, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT, and ventricular assist devices
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, IV sedation, and other critical infusions per protocol
• Interpret telemetry, dysrhythmias, ABGs, and hemodynamic data to support rapid clinical decision-making in a fast-paced ICU
• Support procedures including chest tube management, central line care, arterial line management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary healthcare partners
• Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care environment
