Job Summary
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of activities in support of Nash Farm.
Essential Functions
Performs livestock, grounds and building maintenance.
Opens and/or closes the farm for regular operating hours.
Assists special programming throughout the year and works as a team member.
Feeds animals on-site and performs recordkeeping of livestock.
Carries out heritage farming practices for demonstration farming.
Assists with general visitor services and general housekeeping duties.
Complies with all City and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) rules, regulations, and procedures.
Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Minimum age 18.
Must have flexibility to work weekends, extended and irregular hours.
Ability to perform manual labor including lifting supplies and materials up to 40 lbs.
Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check and possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid Texas drivers license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level 2).
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the essential functions of this position, there will be routine and frequent exposure to:
Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, hard hats, safety vests, steel-toe boots, back support belts, and seat belts are provided and must be worn as required by department procedures and good safety practices.
