• Team Size: 10 Cardiac Surgeons, 9 Physician Assistants

• • 1,000-1,200 pump cases
  • ~140 heart and lung transplants

Role Summary

• Position: Physician Assistant - Cardiac Surgery
• Setting: Single location
• Responsibilities:
• • Operating Room coverage
  • Inpatient rounding
  • Outpatient rounding

Schedule

• Primary Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts (4/10)
• Shift Structure: Determined by surgeons practice needs

Weekend Requirement

• Frequency: 1 weekend every 9 weekends
• Hours: Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Previous experience in cardiovascular
• One year of Cardiac surgical experience
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
