Step into a high-energy sheet metal fabrication cell at Argon where safety, ISO-driven quality, and on-time performance are non-negotiable. Your challenge: lead people and processes so lasers, turrets, and press brakes hit plan—every shift.

Core Outcomes

• Safety leadership: set expectations, audit behaviors, and enforce Argon policies without compromise.
• ISO compliance: drive QAP adherence, follow work instructions, and use inspection equipment correctly.
• Schedule control: manage the Foreman’s Report, expedite across departments, and keep work flowing.
• Performance improvement: increase direct labor efficiency and indirect productivity using daily Time Variance Report analysis.

How You’ll Execute

• Translate drawings and blueprints into executable setups and programs.
• Stage everything needed—materials, skids, boxes, fixtures, stays, and tooling—so jobs start on time.
• Align resources: coordinate headcount, assign work, and schedule overtime to meet demand.
• Communicate quickly and clearly via meetings and email; remove ambiguity and roadblocks.
• Keep the area clean and organized; ensure housekeeping standards are met.

Team Development & Governance

• Train, monitor, and enforce Argon procedures: Safety, Job Travelers, JobBOSS transactions, program control, schedule discipline, issuing materials, early problem identification, continuous improvement, handling quantity discrepancies, and skids/packaging standards.
• Coach for morale and mastery—address issues promptly and foster growth and development.
• Review, correct, and approve daily attendance and job records.

Quality & Equipment

• Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections as required.
• Maintain working knowledge of lasers, turrets, and press brakes.
• Bonus capability: perform basic maintenance with documentation; escalate equipment concerns to your supervisor immediately.
• When needed, set up and operate equipment in your area.

What You Bring

• Proven leadership and people management.
• Lean manufacturing acumen with coaching and mentoring experience.
• ERP proficiency (JobBOSS or similar).
• Ability to read blueprints and apply ISO-compliant inspection methods.
