Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set cutting blades to proper specifications to cut fabric.
- Ensure cuts are straight and accurate.
- Maintain detailed written records of all jobs and fabric usage.
- Ability to learn quickly and read ruler measurements.
- Must be able to monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and make corrections as necessary.
- Must keep cutting equipment in good working order at all times.
- Must maintain clean and organized work area.
- Must be able to assist Sewing Department and help with additional projects as requested.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Sewing experience is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees as to status of production.
- Must be comfortable with and be able to apply quality standards to sewn products.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
Physical Requirements:
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to sit or stand at a sewing machine for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and lift up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of this job.
