Summary:
As a customs compliance specialist, you are an expert in international trade regulations and customs compliance and assist companies with trade activities to import and export shipments. Responsibilities include training companies on how to manage regulations and apply them to their specific business applications, conducting audits, writing reports with your findings, and keeping all documents organized. You also interact regularly with customs and government personnel.

Shift: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Responsibilities


  • Prepare and process CBP Form 3461 (Cargo Release) and CBP Form 7501 (Entry Summary).
  • Prepare export documentation, including Shipper's Export Declarations, AES, and EEI filings.
  • Process In-Bond shipments and ISF filings.
  • Ensure accurate classification, valuation, country of origin, and compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Coordinate customs documentation while meeting customer deadlines and compliance requirements.
Requirements


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations with a strong focus on customs entries and export documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with CBP Form 3461, CBP Form 7501, Shipper's Export Declarations, AES, and EEI filings.
  • Additional experience with ISF, In-Bond shipments, CBP Form 7512, IT, T&E, FTZ operations, HTS classification, and invoicing is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, RB Systems, ACE, QuickBooks, or other software supporting ACE transmissions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
