    Overview

    Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and managing the clinical medical records system. The Customer Service Representative will serve as a liaison between patients and hospital staff.

    Responsibilities

    Manages and maintains patient and non-patient medical records system

    Schedules patient appointments and provides patient reminder calls to verify appointments

    Performs data entry to accurately track patient charges related to supply and equipment

    Prepares necessary equipment and supply reports as requested by various departments

    Provides exceptional customer service to all patients and hospital personnel

    Performs various general office duties such as filing and retrieving medical records, answering phones, data entry, etc.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School/GED

    Preferred Education: Completion of Medical terminology course

    Necessary Skills: Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situation in a professional and courteous manner.

    Required Experience 1- 2 years of customer service experience
