Harvard Resource Solutions/Venteon is seeking a Customer Support Specialist for their distribution client in Clarkston on a temporary with potential for direct hire basis.
In office.
8:00am - 5:00pm ( 1 hour lunch)
Pay Range: $23.00hr - $25.00hr (Based upon experience and education)
Health, Dental, Vision, Sick Days and Holiday pay offered after 90 days on assignment.
Summary
The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers and the sales team, ensuring accurate order processing and timely shipment coordination. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by managing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting daily sales and distribution operations.
Duties
Maintain predictable and dependable attendance.
Provide backup support to the Customer Service team and other administrative staff as needed.
Assist with completing CON/Transfer transactions, repacks, and repack/relabel processes within the P21 system for public warehouse shipments.
Process and support customer pick tickets as needed.
Manage the Customer Service Support Inbox, including assigned orders, confirmations, and customer service tasks.
Prepare and maintain daily receipt reports and sample reports.
Perform end-of-day portal reviews, including:
Orders without pick tickets
Duplicate customer part numbers
Email log errors
Maintain the Customer Service OneNote documentation and participate in quarterly reviews with the Customer Service Support Manager.
Learn all Customer Service Specialist processes and daily responsibilities to provide team support and PTO coverage.
Adhere to the company's two-hour customer callback policy.
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and team performance.
Provide account support in the absence of the Customer Service Manager.
Serve as an advocate for customers by partnering with internal departments to ensure timely issue resolution and complete customer satisfaction.
Follow established procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience required.
Customer service experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or related industry preferred.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably P21, is a plus.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Ability to interpret written procedures, work instructions, and software documentation.
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
