Customer Service Specialist / $16 - $20 per hour BOE

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to provide outstanding support to customers and help ensure a positive experience at every interaction in a medical environment. In this role, you will handle questions, resolve concerns, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams. This position offers a pay range of $16 to $20 per hour, based on experience. Bilingual is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.

• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments

  and confirming patient information.

• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

• Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athena for efficient data management.

• Address patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and office policies.

• Verify insurance eligibility

• Take copays from patients

• Schedule patient appointments

• Answer multi-line phone

• Create patient charts 

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience/Skills

• A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a medical office setting is required.

• Previous customer service experience required.

• Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization

• Typing

• Verbal Communication

• Microsoft Office skills

• Preferred: EMR experience preferred. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a benefit to the patient

   population.
