About the Role:New York Bagel & Bialy Corporation is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Sandwich Maker/Counter Help to join our team in Lincolnwood, IL! If you love great food, fast-paced environments, and making customers smile, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items to order with speed and accuracy
- Greet and assist customers at the counter, taking orders and answering menu questions
- Handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in accordance with food safety standards
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and display cases as needed throughout the shift
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak hours
- Follow all food handling, preparation, and hygiene guidelines
Requirements:- Previous experience in a deli, sandwich shop, bakery, or food service environment is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
- Must be able to work weekends
