Overnight Veterinary Client Service Representative (Emergency) – Wilmington, NC

$15.00–$17.00/hr + $2.00/hr Overnight Shift Differential
Full-Time | Four 10-Hour Shifts Per Week
Join Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center's 24/7 Emergency & Specialty team and play a critical role supporting pets and their families during some of their most urgent moments.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hr, based on experience
  • Additional Overnight Differential: $2.00/hr for hours worked past midnight
  • Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays required

What You'll Do:

As an Overnight Veterinary Client Service Representative, you'll serve as the first point of contact for pet owners seeking emergency care. This role is ideal for someone who remains calm under pressure, communicates with compassion, and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients with professionalism and empathy
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and triage incoming calls appropriately
  • Register emergency and specialty appointments accurately
  • Obtain and enter patient and client information into medical records
  • Process payments and explain estimates when appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and hospital staff
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support clients during stressful and emotional situations
  • Assist with general front desk and administrative duties
  • Ensure a positive client experience from arrival through discharge

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary client service, veterinary receptionist, or veterinary customer service experience
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills
  • Ability to work overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Emergency veterinary hospital experience
  • Specialty veterinary hospital experience
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
