Customer Service Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member

Hourly pay plus commission/bonus - Pay rate is based on which active insurance licenses you hold, previous insurance experience, and specific State Farm experience. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.

ROLE DESCRIPTION: 

Full-time Customer Service Representative at a local State Farm Agency located in the neighborhood of Lakeview in New Orleans, LA. Required office hours are 8a-4:30 p.m. M-F, assisting customers with their insurance needs. The position requires you to have your Property & Casualty insurance license. Having a Life & Health insurance license is a bonus!

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers as needed.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
• Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
• Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Dedicated to customer service
• Able to effectively relate to a customer, answer their questions, and anticipate their needs.
• Excellent communication skills to assist customers and coordinate with other agency team members
• Proactive in problem-solving
