What We're Looking For
- Previous collections, accounts receivable, payment processing, or high-volume customer service experience.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with skip tracing is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable learning multiple systems and databases.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to collections is a plus.
- Contact former students by phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve outstanding account balances.
- Manage institutional loan, private loan, payment plan, and past-due account collections.
- Make 80–100 outbound calls daily while providing professional, solution-focused customer service.
- Meet and exceed monthly collection goals and performance metrics.
- Perform skip tracing to locate borrowers and maintain accurate account information.
- Partner with leadership to support reporting, data collection, and ongoing collection initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding and training new Collection Associates.
- Ensure collection activities comply with all applicable federal regulations and company policies.
