Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, On-Site
This position may be staffed by one full-time employee or multiple part-time employees based on business needs. Core responsibilities, training, and performance expectations apply to all Account Specialists regardless of schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Specialist provides customer service support throughout the sales and order process, from initial customer inquiries and quotations through order entry, delivery, invoicing, and follow-up.
We primarily sell through distributors. The Account Specialist is responsible for providing the responsive, accurate support those customers require, including product identification, quotations, pricing and availability, order processing, delivery information, problem resolution, and ongoing account support.
The position works closely with our outside sales representatives and primarily supports existing customers and sales opportunities developed through those relationships. This is not primarily a cold-calling or new-business-development position, although the Account Specialist should recognize opportunities to recommend additional or related products when appropriate.
The Account Specialist develops a strong working knowledge of our products through company-provided training. Over time, the employee will learn to identify common products and applications and interpret relevant dimensions, specifications, and other information from customer part drawings.
