Job Title: Customer Service Representative 
Location: Clive, IA
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Work Arrangement:Primarily onsite, with remote accommodations as needed

About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative II to support customers, business partners, and carriers in a fast-paced freight operations environment. This role focuses on resolving customer inquiries, monitoring transportation orders, maintaining shipment information, and coordinating delivery changes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and has experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, or warehousing.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist customers and business partners primarily through email, with occasional phone communication
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Diagnose, assess, and resolve customer and shipment-related issues
  • Monitor open orders requiring scheduled transportation
  • Retrieve and enter shipment information into the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Research and update missing shipment statuses
  • Process delivery order changes and cancellations
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to resolve transportation issues
  • Manage multiple open tasks while ensuring timely completion
  • Maintain accurate records and shipment information

What You’ll Need

  • 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or customer support environment
  • Experience responding to customers and resolving problems or issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong customer-focused approach and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in transportation, freight, logistics, or warehousing
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems or shipment tracking
  • Experience working with carriers or delivery operations
