Customer Care Advocate
Location: Warwick, RI (Remote – After the Onsite training)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2
Start Date: 9/28/2026 
Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Potential Extension & Conversion)

Home Office Requirement: Employees must have a secure, quiet, distraction-free workspace with reliable high-speed internet connected directly to the router via Ethernet (hotspots are not permitted) and must be able to report to the Warwick office if home-office technical issues or outages prevent them from working.
 
Schedule & Availability: Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with flexibility to work varying shifts based on business and customer needs. Post-training schedules will be determined through a ranking and bidding process based on training performance and available schedules.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly professional, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support customers with inquiries related to defined benefit annuities, Group Annuity Contracts, and pension accounts.
The successful candidate will provide accurate and courteous assistance by explaining policy information, payment details, account status, and available services. This role also involves processing account maintenance requests and assisting customers throughout the claims process.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. The individual must be comfortable working with multiple systems simultaneously, handling confidential financial information, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in every customer interaction.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to individuals regarding annuity and pension accounts.
  • Clearly explain policy details, payment information, account status, and other financial information.
  • Process customer account maintenance requests, including:
  • Direct deposit updates
  • Address changes
  • Beneficiary updates
  • Death notifications
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance and guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and account updates.
  • Navigate multiple computer systems and applications while assisting customers in real time.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential customer and financial information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to assigned schedules.
  • Adapt to evolving technologies and demonstrate a willingness to support the appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence and other technology enhancements.
 
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–3+ years of customer service experience; experience in financial services is strongly preferred.
  • 1–3+ years of experience working with Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while assisting customers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and personal information.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to attendance and schedule adherence.
