Description

A leading transportation and logistics organization is seeking a Customer Compliance Specialist to support contract compliance, billing accuracy, and customer account administration. This position is responsible for reviewing contracts, invoices, commission requests, and discount requests to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing financial, billing, contract, or compliance-related documentation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to investigate discrepancies and bring issues to resolution.

Responsibilities:
* Review contracts, invoices, commissions, and discount requests for accuracy and compliance
* Research discrepancies and coordinate with customers and internal departments to resolve issues
* Calculate payment amounts and prepare supporting documentation for approvals
* Review customer billing and contract information to ensure consistency with company agreements and policies
* Maintain organized electronic records for auditing and compliance purposes
* Utilize reporting tools and internal systems to support compliance reviews and payment calculations
* Communicate with customers regarding billing, documentation, and compliance-related questions
* Partner with Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, Accounting, and Compliance teams to resolve issues
* Assist with internal and external audits as needed
* Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend updates to procedures and workflows

Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience reviewing financial, billing, contract, compliance, or related business documents
* Experience working in a regulated environment such as transportation, logistics, accounting, legal services, financial services, healthcare, or similar industries
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and data review
* Experience communicating with customers and internal stakeholders regarding account or documentation issues
* Comfortable learning new software, systems, and workflow platforms

Preferred:
* Transportation, logistics, freight, shipping, or maritime industry experience
* Experience with contract administration, billing analysis, accounts receivable, compliance, or audit support
* Experience with workflow management platforms such as Jira
* AS400/SOS experience
* Bilingual English/Spanish
