Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Raleigh, NC (Remote). The ideal candidate with experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting Cúram applications to deliver scalable solutions for public sector and Medicaid programs.

Rate Range: $90/hour to $92/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Cúram applications to support the Children and Family Specialty Plan (CFSP) and Medicaid program operations.

  • Provide technical leadership by guiding development activities, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to Cúram development best practices.

  • Collaborate with business and functional teams to translate requirements into scalable and effective Cúram-based solutions.

  • Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and post-implementation support to ensure application stability and performance.

  • Develop and execute unit tests to validate functionality, maintain code quality, and support successful application releases.

  • Serve as a technical advisor during solution design discussions, ensuring proposed approaches align with Cúram framework capabilities and project objectives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Cúram development, application support, and enterprise system implementation.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cúram Development, system maintenance, code reviews, and technical solution design within the Cúram framework.

  • Proven experience in unit testing, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale public sector, healthcare, or Medicaid-focused application implementations.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $92.00 per hour
