Job Title: Custodian - Weekend Shift

Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Safety Manager

Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm

SUMMARY

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production areas, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas are properly cleaned and maintained to support employee & visitor safety, equipment efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

·Clean and sanitize production floors, machinery surfaces (as allowed), storage areas, restrooms, and break rooms.

·Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove debris to prevent hazards and maintain a safe work environment.

·Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste according to company and regulatory guidelines.

·Assist with maintaining clean and organized tool rooms, storage areas, and supply rooms.

·Ensure cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment are used safely and stored properly.

·Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment concerns to the supervisor immediately.

·Follow all company policies, including safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tagout awareness, chemical handling).

·Support production staff by ensuring work areas remain clean and organized during shifts.

·Assist with minor setup or cleanup tasks for manufacturing equipment or special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience a plus.

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.

• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Ability to work safely around machinery and production areas.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
