Custodian /Utility Worker

Location:

Join our team as a Custodian / Utility Worker and play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming community environment.

In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for operating commercial floor care equipment, maintaining hard and carpeted surfaces, removing trash and recycling, and ensuring community spaces are clean and ready for residents and guests. You will also set up rooms and furniture for events and activities, assist with deliveries and the movement of heavy items, and support daily community operations through timely completion of work orders.

Compensation: $19 - $23 hourly commensurate with experience

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

How you will make an impact    

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming

What you will need   

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check
